The Canberra Hockey Academy (Academy) is a player development program for players in the U13 - U17 age groups that provides hockey coaching, game and competition opportunities over a 6 month period.
The program has been tailored to meet the development needs of players in each age group. Any player in the U13-17 age bracket intending to register in 2012 with a member club can trial for Academy. It is hoped that around 150 individuals will participate in Academy in the U13 and U15 age groups alone.
Nominations are now open for players, coaches, managers and umpires interested in being a part of Academy. To nominate please return a completed nomination form to develop@hockeyact.org.au or by fax to 6257 6191 by 31 January 2012.
Trials for the 2012 Academy program are as follows:
- U15 boys and girls: 4 February 5.00 - 7.00pm at the National Hockey Centre
- U13 boys and girls: 11 February 4.00 - 6.00pm at the National Hockey Centre
