Hockey ACT 13 & Under Indoor Invitational

The Hockey ACT 13 & Under Indoor Invitational was a fantastic new development opportunity for all our junior indoor players. The tournament was held in Canberra at the National Hockey Centre in Lyneham on the 4th and 5th of February between NSW and ACT. Both states selected two even boys teams and two even girls teams to play against one another over the weekend.

Although the focus of the tournament was to provide development opportunities to all invovled, it was run similarly to a National Championships Tournament. This provided learning opportunities for all our junior umpires, our managers and coaches and those assisting on the technical bench.

if was wonderful to see the improvement of the ACT players over the weekend, and an enjoyable and exciting weekend was experienced by all.

We are looking forward to holding a similar tournament early next year to continue with this development opportunity. Hopefully the tournament will expand and involvement from other states in the future.
