The Hockey ACT summer social season is heating up in 2024. With 4 nights of social running Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, there is a format to suit everyone!

HACT Summer Social Nominations Pack 2024
Social Hockey Formats
Thursday 8th February - Thursday 14th March, 2024
The Thursday night social competition is aimed at existing hockey players who are looking to continue playing over the summer months. Games are played on a full-sized hockey field (91.4m long and 55m wide), with 4 x 17-minute quarters. Games will be scheduled between 6 pm and finished by 10:30 pm. Teams are mixed gendered with all players required to be registered prior to the begining og the competition. No player is permitted to participate in a game if they are not registered. A ladder will be kept for this competition with results entered via the RevSport portal each week. Bar tab prizes will be awarded to teams for the last round.

Sunday Afternoon Social
Sunday 11th February - Sunday 17th March, 2024
The Sunday afternoon social competition is open to all and allows friends and family to play together in a relaxed and fun environment. The Sunday Social competition will be played on a full-sized field with 50 minute games consisting of 2x25 minute halves. The competition is played with modified social rules making it safer and more inclusive for all skill levels.

Friday 9th February - Friday 15th March, 2024
The competition is open to women ages 34 and above played at the National Hockey Centre in Lyneham. Teams may have one player over 30 and an optional goalkeeper that may be any age. The 5-a-side hockey format will run on Friday nights between 6 pm – 9 pm (dependent on nominations). Games will be played on half fields with 2 x 20-minute halves. All games will have one umpire. Scores are kept for Division 1 with bar prizes awarded to both divisions for the last round.

Cost- $435
Full team fee is paid by team coordinators in full when signing up for the event on RevSport. Teams wishing to arrange individual payment should contact participation@hockeyact.org.au
Registration Fees are in addition to the 2024 Hockey Australia levy, paid at the time of registering as a member through Rev Sport. New players playing in the social competition only can register under a HACT Social Player Only ($30.31).

Junior Social Nominations Pack
The Junior Social Competition is designed to provide children and teens with an opportunity to play with their friends in a non - competitive environment. There is no focus on learning or competition, the goal is to spend time with friends, while being active and having fun.
As social competition, it is inclusive of all skill levels and playing abilities; this includes players who are new to hockey. Bring your non - hockey friends and have a hit together!
The 5-a-side hockey format will run on Tuesday evenings between 5pm – 8pm (dependent on nominations). Games will be played on half fields with 2 x 20-minute halves. All games will have one umpire.
*Please note, divisions are subject to team nominations. Should Hockey ACT consider a team has been entered into the wrong division, teams may be moved between divisions.
