HOOKIN2HOCKEY
The National Participation Program for children under 10 years old.
Hookin2Hockey is a fun and exciting way to get involved in playing the great game of Hockey, for children under the age of 10. Hookin2Hockey is Hockey Australia’s national introductory program.
Hookin2Hockey provides children aged 10 and under with an opportunity to participate in Hockey, in a fun and safe atmosphere, with modified rules on a smaller sized playing area.
Hookin2Hockey is connected to the JDH Hockey One League, providing young players with role models from the best of the best in Australian hockey! Participants can purchase an optional equipment pack branded with your favourite Hockey One team when registering for Hookin2Hockey in 2026! Hookin2Hockey participants have opportunities throughout the year to meet with and learn from Canberra Chill athletes.

Hookin2Hockey carnivals provide an opportunity for participants to apply the skills they have developed during the program as well as meet and play with other clubs. Hockey ACT runs two Hookin2Hockey Carnivals per year.

Hockey ACT's Summer Hookin2Hockey Program 'Chills & Skills' provides children the opportunity to learn & grow their hockey skills in a safe and fun environment. Sessions are delivered by Hockey ACT coaches & Chill Squad members. Chills & Skills is the perfect taste test of Hookin2Hockey for young new players looking to try hockey for the first time or those wishing to continue building their skills for next season.

Hockey ACT prides itself on being an inclusive sport and aims to provide opportunities or everyone to participate in sport. Chills and Skills is inclusive of all abilities, including those living with a disability.
All participants are required to be a registered Hookin2Hockey member prior to registering for Chills and Skills.
If you have played Hookin2Hockey in 2025, you will be directed to log in when you register.
New players will need to pay the Hookin2Hockey Term 4 2025 insurance levy.
