RECONCILIATION ROUND 2024

Hockey ACT's Reconciliation Round acknowledges the contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to Hockey and to our community. The round celebrates the culture, histories and stories and ensures this legacy is highlighted throughout our competitions, events, and operations.
Hockey ACT in conjunction with the Reconciliation Action Committee are committed to ensuring we better educate ourselves and our community as we continue to work towards reconciliation. Hockey ACT would like to thank the Reconciliation Action Committee who is made up of: Tarran Backhus (Chair), Peta Derham, Stirling Sharpe, Garry Backhus, Kyle Brereton and Nicole Bettiol for their work in making this round a possibility.

We invite all clubs and teams to come along to the celebrations at the National Hockey Centre on the day to experience the many elements of the round. We look forward to celebrating the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures with the entire Hockey ACT community and reflecting on the importance of reconciliation.
