Sporting Schools Hockey Clinics

Hockey ACT are excited to be a part of the Australian Sports Commission’s Sporting Schools program.
This program offers direct funding to schools, allowing them to link up with local sporting organisations and quality coaches to deliver sporting programs before, during and after school hours.

Sporting Schools is Australia’s largest school based participation program. The program is a government initiative developed to increase children’s participation in sport and create links to community sporting organisations. Sporting schools programs are provided free to children and their families and help in the pathway to an active lifestyle.

Hockey ACT is happy to be able to offer students fun and engaging hockey experience via the Sporting Schools program. These sessions teach participants the basic concepts of Hockey, develop key motor skills and are aligned with the Australian National Curriculum, all within a fun and safe environment. School & Club Allocations

Hockey ACT have made it easy for primary school students to transition into  hockey and find a team within a Hockey ACT affiliated Club. Each school within the ACT region has been linked (as a guide) to particular clubs to ease transition into our local competition and provide a useful and easy way for primary school aged children to locate a club near their home and school.
