Welcome to the 2026 Canberra Hockey Regional Program

This event registration is for U12’s only and includes participation in the following Carnivals.
 

Trials

• Boys Trial
Tuesday 5th May
4:00 – 5:00 pm
Powell Field

• Girls Trial
Tuesday 12th May
4:00 – 5:00 pm
Powell Field

These trials will be used to help finalise teams for the upcoming carnivals. Teams will most likely remain consistent throughout the season, subject to player availability. Training sessions and carnivals will also continue to provide opportunities for players to be observed and assessed as the season progresses.

• York Cup & Kim Small Shield 
Friday 3rd July – Monday 6th July
Tamworth

• Goulburn Carnival
Sunday 26th July
Goulburn

There will be training sessions scheduled before each carnival to help players prepare and build combinations as teams. Training dates and times will be communicated closer to each event.

If Hockey ACT does not receive enough registrations to field a team for a specific event by the events registration closing date, refunds will be provided to those who have registered.

* Numbers permitting, we anticipate entering 3 teams in both the boys and girls competition for June Long Weekend and Goulburn Carnival.

* Due to team nomination requirements York Cup/Kim Small Shield may be limited to 1 team meaning a selection process may take place.
 

All players are required to book their own travel and accommodation for all Regional Events at the families own expense. Please take this into consideration when registering for an event where travel is involved.

Please ensure you read the event waiver in its entirety and complete the Player Agreement at the end of the waiver.

Playing Kit

Players will wear the same playing kit as last year. Please note that this is the final year of the O’Neils sponsorship, and Al at the Hockey Shop has limited remaining stock available.

If your child requires additional kit, we encourage families to reach out to friends or families of players who participated last year, as they may have spare items available.
