Hockey ACT is proud to congratulate four ACT athletes on their selection in the Australian Under 21 Outdoor Squads following strong performances throughout the national championships and domestic season.

Cameron Brick has been selected in the Burras squad, while Lucy Nash, Alyssa Smith and Maya McGrath have all earned selection in the Jillaroos squad.

The selections recognise the athletes’ continued commitment to their development within the Hockey ACT high performance pathway and their performances against the country’s best emerging talent.

All four athletes have consistently demonstrated the skill, resilience and professionalism required to compete at the national level, with their selections highlighting the strength of the ACT pathway system.

Hockey ACT NAPP Head Coach Matt Cook said the selections were a fantastic reward for the athletes and reflected the quality of talent continuing to emerge from the ACT.

“These selections are a credit to the athletes and the work they have continued to put into their development over a long period of time,” Cook said.

“To have four ACT athletes selected in Australian U21 squads is something the community should be incredibly proud of. They have represented the ACT with great professionalism and have earned this opportunity through their performances and commitment.”

The selections continue Hockey ACT’s strong representation within Australian pathway programs and further reinforce the quality of athletes progressing through the ACT system.
