Hockey ACT Appoints Brent Clark as Chief Executive Officer
The Hockey ACT Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Brent Clark as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Brent brings extensive executive leadership, governance and commercial experience, together with a lifelong passion for hockey.
His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Hockey ACT as the organisation continues to build on its strong foundations and pursue its vision of growing the game across the ACT and surrounding regions.
Brent has held senior leadership positions across a range of industries and is widely recognised for his strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and commitment to organisational excellence.
He has also made significant contributions to hockey as a coach, administrator and director, including serving on the Hockey Australia Board and the Hockey One Board.
Hockey ACT President Liz Sisley said the Board was excited to welcome Brent to the organisation.
“On behalf of the Board, I congratulate Brent on his appointment and look forward to working together to continue strengthening hockey across our community.”
Commenting on his appointment, Brent said;
“I’m excited to be joining Hockey ACT at such an important time for our sport. I want to thank Rob Sheekey for his tireless efforts over many years, his devotion to our sport is greatly appreciated.
There is a strong foundation to build on, a passionate hockey community, and a real opportunity to continue growing the game across Canberra, Albury Wodonga and Young.
I’m looking forward to working alongside our clubs, volunteers, players, coaches, officials, partners and Hockey ACT staff to strengthen our sport.
Developing our local talent and providing pathways from grassroots through to elite hockey will be a key focus for me. The continued growth and success of the Canberra Chill is an important part of that journey.
Success in sport is built on strong communities. My goal is to ensure Hockey ACT is an organisation that supports its people, embraces new opportunities and creates an environment where everyone can be involved, improve and succeed.”
The Board also acknowledges the significant contribution of outgoing CEO Rob Sheekey, whose leadership and dedication over many years have positioned Hockey ACT strongly for the future.
Brent will officially commence as Chief Executive Officer on Monday 20 July 2026.
Please join us in welcoming Brent to the Hockey ACT community.
