Hockey ACT Pride Round
Friday 28th - Sunday 30th June 2024
Hockey ACT is excited to present our annual Pride Round for 2024. The aim of the round is to celebrate and support the LGBTQI+ community. We welcome all clubs to join us in celebrating the round. We encourage clubs to celebrate through taking part in the initiatives planned, and increasing visibility across the weekend.

Share photos of your team repping the rainbow throughout the round with a social media frame. Let the Hockey ACT community know how your team and hockey support the LGBTQI+ community.

LGBTQI+ CLUBS AND MEMBER TRAINING

Location: Online - Link will be provided to all participants
Hosted by Pride in Sport, this training session is an insightful and informative presentation on how to be an ally for LGBTQI+ members. The training is open to all members and will provide tips and perspectives on education, resources and support for the LGBTQI+ community.

This training will equip, clubs and members to:
- Ensure LGBTQI+ members have a safe and effective pathway into club hockey
- Better support current LGBTQI+ members in club networks
- Provide resources to support our members needs
HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT PRIDE ROUND
Celebrating diversity; within your team or club across the round and throughout the season
Promoting visibility via; social media posts, rainbow socks, shirt or uniforms, displaying Pride and Trans flags and wearing rainbow pins or accessories
Educating yourselves and your teams through the Pride Information Guide distributed or at the online Ally Training provided by Hockey ACT and Pride in Sport (Thursday 22nd June, 2023).
Promoting positive dialogue; start the conversation around how you can be more inclusive
Stamp out all forms of Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia in our community
