Hockey ACT is preparing for the 2027 winter season, and we are inviting current, returning and aspiring umpires and tech officials to complete our Officiating Expression of Interest.

For 2027, Hockey ACT is placing a greater focus on supporting and developing our officiating community, with increased opportunities for education, coaching, mentoring, qualifications and progression across all junior and senior competitions.

This form will help us:

  • Update our records of umpire and technical official availability, experience, qualifications and interests.

  • Plan and coordinate officiating appointments across the 2027 winter season.

  • Identify umpires and technical officials interested in developing their skills, gaining qualifications or progressing to higher levels.

  • Plan coaching, mentoring and education opportunities to support officials at all stages of their development.

  • Identify experienced officials interested in supporting others through coaching, mentoring and education.

  • Better understand how Hockey ACT can support the recruitment, retention and ongoing development of our officiating community.

Whether you're new to officiating, returning after time away, developing your skills or already officiating at a high level, we encourage you to get involved.

Completing this form does not commit you to officiating during the season. It simply helps Hockey ACT understand your interests and availability so we can provide relevant opportunities, information and support.

We would appreciate you completing the form as soon as possible to assist with planning for the 2027 season.

Thank you for your continued contribution to hockey in the ACT. We look forward to working together to build a positive, supportive and connected officiating community in 2027.
