Hockey ACT’s Summer Social Competitions run during the warmer months and provide a fun, relaxed way to stay active and connected. The competitions are designed for all ages and abilities, with flexible formats and an emphasis on participation and enjoyment rather than formal competition.

There are three main offerings: Midweek Social, Sunday Social, and the Women’s Masters Social Competition. Midweek Social is aimed at existing players wanting full-field, fast-paced hockey with a competition ladder and bar prizes. Sunday Social is more family-friendly and inclusive, with two skill-based divisions and modified rules to encourage beginners and casual players. The Women’s Masters Social is for players aged 34+, played as 5-a-side matches on half fields, providing a welcoming and social environment.

All matches are held at the National Hockey Centre in Lyneham, with flexible registration options for individuals or teams. These competitions keep players engaged over summer, promote fitness and skill maintenance, and focus on creating an enjoyable social hockey experience.
